Jam Shack is a 8 piece jazz, soul and funk band from Oxford University Medical School. We have been playing and peforming for 3 years with an ever expanding set list of jazz, funk, 80s and pop. Leading the line up are the vocals of Fran Aquilina and
Hannah Thompson. Our wind section consists of the duo Michael Wilson on Trumpet and Nathan Riddel on Sax. Keeping it tight in the rythmn section is James Kuht on drums and Alex Slaney on bass. James Arwyn-Jones tears up the fretboard on guitar. Oh, there's Andy Thomas on Keys too. He's not bad I suppose...
We love to play college balls, so feel free to get in touch. They've been some of the liveliest crowds that we've had the joy of entertaining in the past.
We available for booking for weddings. We have a low-key smooth dinner jazz set for the dinner reception, as well as the funk set for when everyone's ready to dance.
We have played all kinds of events, from summer garden parties to club nights. We have a set list that can be changed around to suit the occasion so feel free to get in touch.
